Mother's Day was the scene for the It’s My Wedding Sunshine Coast Wedding Expo on the 8th of May. Many new brides-and-grooms-to-be came with their respective 'entourages' (and not forgetting their Mums!) from all over South-East Queensland and piled in to check out the best vendors the Sunshine Coast has to offer.
The newly renovated Maroochydore RSL was transformed into a lovers paradise and provided a wonderful venue for the expo with large light-filled spaces, chill out zones and the very popular Man Cave for the boys!

Visitors were given the VIP treatment with a complementary tote bag, copies of the Sunshine Coast Brides Magazine and a glass of champagne to kickstart their expo experience. A fun and relaxing 'vibe' was the order of the day, as Brides & Grooms meandered through the spacious layout and listened to live tunes from Love Note Music and Dorothy In The Woods.
Our very popular Man Cave, created by Elza’s Interactive Gallery, gave the boys their very own space to take some time out to play games, enjoy a cold beer and 'chill' while their future Brides and Mothers could celebrate mother’s day in style while browsing all things weddings.
The stunning bridal fashion show displayed some of the best work by top Sunshine Coast wedding suppliers - Elizabeth De Varga Exclusive Fashions, Connor Menswear, Wood & Beau, Ginger Lily & Rose Floral Design, Evalyn Parsons Hair, Rolling Scissors Mobile Hairdressing, Melina Dee Makeup Artistry & Jenna Turner Makeup Artist.
In front of a packed crowd, it was time to announce the winners of the main prizes! With a prize pool valued at over $15,000 a host of lucky Brides & Grooms won big with KCs Fireworks Displays, Dorothy In The Woods, Empire Art Photography & Toni Collett Celebrant. But, Katherine B. was the the big winner on the day, walking away with a huge $5000 to spend on any vendors she wished for her upcoming wedding! (Read more about our $5000 giveaway here).
We would like to take the opportunity to thank all the amazing suppliers that were involved and helped put this amazing day together, with special thanks to our photographer Matt Rowe Photography and videographer Woodland Films for capturing this awesome event. It was such a fun and successful day, full of incredible vendors, amazing wedding ideas and lovely people.
