With an overwhelming turn-out from hundreds of Brides and Grooms to be, their family, friends and supporters.....it was safe to say that our recent Sunshine Coast Wedding Expo was a massive day for all!
With everything from Photographers, Celebrants, Florists, Venues to Mobile Bars, Beauty and even a Barber, visitors were spoilt for choice and wedding inspiration with over 60 of South East Queensland's best wedding vendors. Novembers Expo saw the return of some crowd favourites including jaw-dropping floral installations from Ginger, Lily & Rose, the ever-popular Man Cave hosting the coolest of live tunes by The Paper Flowers, exquisite music from Cello Dreaming and the fun relaxed 'vibe' that the Sunshine Coast Wedding Expo has come to be known for.
We also saw the introduction of 'The Outdoor Village', hosting an array of funky outdoor food and beverage vendors including Wilson The Vintage Pop-Up Bar, Tinker Travelling Events and Char Baby; cool vintage transport by Old Skool Kombis Noosa and outdoor styling by Barrels Of Fun and Elza's Interactive Gallery.
The kids weren't fogotten either, with a pop-up kids corner to keep little ones occupied with reading tents, games and colouring in stations while Mum & Dad were free to wander with their champagne-in-hand.
Once again, visitors were treated to the latest fashions for the modern Bride & Groom. Bridal gowns from the Sunshine Coast's newest Bridal Desitnation - Sphere Collective - featured gowns and accessories by top designers Made With Love, Karen Willis Holmes, Naturae Design, F+H, Accessories by G. Men were looking suave in suits by Black Jacket Suiting - rated Queensland's no.1 Groom's Fashion Award by ABIA.
The runway show also featured the talents of makeup artists Melina Dee, Jenna Turner & Natalie Hunter and hairstylists Evalyn Parsons Hair & Rolling Scissors. Last but not least, stunning floral bouquets crafted by Heavenly Blooms, Ginger Lily & Rose and Poppy Lane Flowers By Design.
As always, the highlight of our day is when we get to award one lucky Bride & Groom a hug $5000 for them to spend any way they wish with any of the vendors at the expo. This time, it was a true pleasure to award the gorgeous Megan & Travis their massive cheque, from It's My Wedding. The $5000 prize has gone a long way to making their wedding dreams a reality and we couldn't have asked for a more deserving couple.
It goes without saying that an event such as this wouldn't happen without the support and efforts of many. To our major sponsors - Sunshine Coast Brides Magazine, Matt Rowe Photography, Ginger Lily & Rose and Maroochy RSL, and all the suppliers involved, a massive THANK YOU for helping The Sunshine Coast Wedding Expo to continue to raise the bar in showcasing the best wedding vendors and helping Brides & Grooms create their dream weddings.
